an early training in storytelling

Liz Beddall’s foundation is rooted in journalism. Holding a High Honours degree in Journalism and English from Carleton University, widely regarded as one of Canada’s leading communications programs, her early career saw her working for high-subscription publications including Post CityMetro News, and The Toronto Star, where she held respective roles as both a writer and a photographer.

Across Borders

Eventually contracted as a full-time writer and photographer for The Toronto Star's award-winning travel section, Liz was sent across the globe — assignments that sharpened her ability to observe, document, and translate place into image. That path led to further work with Canadian Geographic and brands such as WestJet, expanding her range while deepening her visual voice.
