BEGINNINGS
Liz Beddall is a Canadian photographer with over 15 years of industry trust behind her. Entirely self-taught, she works instinctively — led by light, composition, and feeling rather than formula.
After graduating from Carleton University, one of Canada’s leading journalism schools, Liz quickly established herself in Toronto’s media landscape, recognized for her rare dual expertise as both a writer and a photographer. This combined skill set has made her a trusted contributor to major Canadian outlets and leading print publications.
Known for her bold use of natural light and striking contrast, Liz creates images that feel cinematic yet grounded in reality, whether she’s documenting people, landscapes, wildlife, or brand stories.
Across Borders
Eventually contracted as a full-time writer and photographer for The Toronto Star's award-winning travel section, Liz was sent across the globe — assignments that sharpened her ability to observe, document, and translate place into image. That path led to further work with Canadian Geographic and brands such as WestJet, expanding her range while deepening her visual voice.
