THIS IS HOW IT LOOKED
This is How it Looked marks the debut of a long-overdue body of work by Toronto-based photographer Liz Beddall—a striking photo documentary that brings together a decade of images and untold stories from her time as a traveling photojournalist. With the discerning eye of a fine artist and the instinct of a documentarian, Beddall unveils an unseen archive: fleeting moments from around the globe, captured in natural light and held in quiet reverence. This limited edition release is more than a book—it’s a rare portrait of a life lived in motion, and a deeply personal act of looking back, honouring the places, the people, and the time that shaped it. They were all taken within a period of 5 years of travel all prompted by my mentor to whom this book is dedicated, Jennifer Bain who took a chance on me all that time then.
